Opportunities for youth.

Youth group.

Here at Hilltop we are excited to have a middle school and a high school youth group, meeting on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year.

Typically, middle school youth meet from 6 p.m.-7:45 p.m., starting with a quick supper that can be anything from delivered pizza to pancakes and sausage. Our kids LOVE this time of fellowship, and we are so thankful to have many parents donate time preparing the Wednesday night meal for us.  After eating, we will head downstairs to the youth room for games, discussion and prayer.

Our high school students meet from 8-9:15 p.m. and have snacks and drinks provided. Often they will come with homework studies and will spend time visiting and sharing stories of their day as they wind down from their hectic schedules. We are excited to have relevant discussions, games and time of prayer for one another.

Both groups are very involved in supporting our local missions: serving the Banquet, serving the Nightwatch Canteen, packing meals for Kids Against Hunger and a favorite mission night of Random Acts of Kindness, to name a few.

We have a great group of youth here at Hilltop and are thankful when they invite their friends!

Sunday school.

At Hilltop, we recognize the importance of developing a strong spiritual foundation for our children and youth. Our staff and adult volunteers are committed to developing lessons and activities that are age appropriate and biblically sound. Sunday school classes are offered for children age two through fifth grade on Sundays September through May, 9:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m. Our education department is a cheerful and safe environment for children to learn about God’s love for them.

Tween Tuesday.

Tween Tuesdays were brought into fruition when a small group of third to fifth graders began meeting with the pastor and youth helper here at Hilltop, every other Tuesday afternoon. This has grown to be a wonderful time of fellowship as these kids form friendships with other kids in their church. Our prayer is for those friendships to continue well into higher grades and adulthood. Our "first" Tweens group are now sophmores and juniors in high school and, even though they don't all attend the same school, they remain a very tight knit group of friends—meeting for high school youth group on Wednesday evenings.

Vacation Bible School.

Every summer, Hilltop offers a vacation bible school program for children ages preschool through entering fifth grade. Music, crafts and other activities are provided to help share the love of Christ. Not only do the children benefit from this special time, the adult volunteers receive just as much spiritual growth.
