Pastor Rodney Knock
Thank you so much for taking an interest in our faith community. I am Rodney Knock, the pastor at Hilltop. I am married to Jeanette and we have two boys: Isaac and Caleb.
One of my favorite Scriptures is found in Romans 13:8, 10: Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
Hear that again: Love is the fulfilling of the law. Jesus specifically tells us to “love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.” Unfortunately, we live in a time of great polarization and division. I don’t know about you; but, sometimes, it can seem awfully hard to love some people. So how do we do it? With Jesus.
Scripture also tells us: “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.”
When God calls us, it requires a response. Let our response be to follow. Let our response be to love.
Thank you again for stopping by—hope to see you soon!
Kris Rees,
Director of Youth and Families
We began coming to Hilltop after an unexpected visit by a former Hilltop pastor extending an invitation to worship.
Seven years ago my husband and I, along with our children, began coming to Hilltop. Little did I know at the time how that simple gesture would change my life.
I volunteered with our middle and high school youth before I began my current role. I love working with the youth—listening to their challenges, hearing their stories and helping them discern their many questions we all have about “what is God’s plan for me?”
Judi Zikmund,
Office Manager
It’s all in the details.
I serve as the information hub for Hilltop. If anything needs to be put on the website, added to the newsletter or included in an e-blast, let me know—I’m the one you're looking for! Membership, financial records and general office details are also part of my responsibilities as well.
I am passionate about my job and ready to do anything it takes to help Hilltop’s ministries to the neighborhood, the church and the city. Stop by and say hello—even if I look busy—because I’m always ready to get to know you.
Shalaine Rostomily,
Worship Leader
“How can I keep from singing?”
Music has been a big part of my life since I was very young. Praise bands have been a way to share my gifts and have given me an excuse to continue to play. I have a minor degree in music but that was really another excuse to do what I love.
I have been part of a praise band for 23 years of my life and leading bands for more than a decade. The people I meet, the experiences I have and the opportunities to share worship through music is a joy to myself, my family and, hopefully, the people of Hilltop.
